Our new website was expertly developed by Joe Grzesik of Sesame. Committee members Donna Oppolo added a special touch to the redesigned logo and Ron Gordon donated the photographs for our site and brochure. Many of us have contributed to what we anticipate as another banner summer. We think you’ll find the web site easier to use and visually more engaging and organized. Thank you Joe!

We are listed now in the Local Harvest web site as one of Chicago’s Farm Markets. It lists every market, farmer, and related information in the country. We plan to develop our outreach and advertising this summer.

We are finalizing a new t-shirt design and planning ‘green’ Pilsen market bags for sale to market visitors, and many more surprises are coming your way. Please come in June for opening day and every Sunday until September. Volunteer if you have a few hours on Sunday! We need help and it’s really fun.

Check on the site for news updates, and information. See you on Sunday, June 13th, 2010.

Pilsen Community Market's third season is on the way! We are anticipating Sunday, June 13th at 9:00AM. Your favorite vendors have returned and new vendors are signing up every day.

The Market committee meets once a week this winter and spring, planning the upcoming 2010 season. Recently we attended a ‘Farmer’s Forum’, hosted by the City and specifically organized for city farmer’s markets and vendors. We met other market organizers, and local farmers. The event was informative and we made important contacts. We also were served an incredible lunch of fresh, organic produce, vegetables and homemade desserts, and bread.

We’re so grateful for Godfrey Gillett, attorney. who prepared paperwork Pro Bono for our 501c3 Non-Profit status. Non-profit status will help us solicit donations and support for the market.
